Fused Glass Heart Pendant with Millefiori Inclusion

These unique pendants are hand-made in my studio by fusing glass grains of different sizes on a special mould at very high temperatures.

They also incorporate murrine / millefiori glass adding to the uniqueness of the pendants as no two are the same.

Murrine glass is made by layering different colours of molten glass around a core, then heating and stretching it into a rod, the design then is revealed when the cane is cut into thin cross sections. The Millefiori (thousands of flowers in Italian) is the murine cane made with a floral design.

As I don't have the facilities to make my own canes I buy the cut murrine and then I incorporate them on my designs.

Glass pendant size:

Pink: 3 x 3.5 approx incl. bail, 18" Silver Plated Chain

Cream: 3 x 3.5 approx incl. bail, 20" aged brass chain + 2" extension chain

Red: 3.3 x 5cm approx incl. bail, 17.5" rubber cord _ 2.5 extension chain

Due to the nature of the raw material and because this items are handmade slight colour variations from the pictures may be apparent, adding to the bespoke uniqueness of your piece.
