Handmade Card with a Fused Glass Ornament

A beautiful card with a fused glass ornament featuring a heart which are handmade in my studio in Nottinghamshire. The heart shape is made by hand with copper wire and then filled with many different pieces of glass and fired at very high temperatures which gives the glass a glossy and smooth finish adding a touch of colour and love to any place. Glass flows while fired so each heart is unique as colours and textures melt together creating new patterns so yours might be a little different from the pictures but with the same colour combination/design chosen by you.

They make the perfect card if you want to send a little extra or a special gift to someone as the glass ornament is a keepsake that can be detached from the card for the recipient to keep and hung using the ribbon in a window as a suncatcher for the ones made with translucent glass or as an ornament to decorate any room, they can also be used as Christmas trees ornaments a perfect gift to let someone know that you are thinking of them and sending them a virtual hug that can be present with them for ever!

When the ornament is all fused nicely they are again fired to add the personalised text if required, just add your text (a word or s short phrase) in the personalisation box before checking out and it should be ready in about 2 to 3 days on top of normal 2 days processing time.

Optional Text length is limited to maximum 20 characters including spaces so ideally it needs to be a short phrase or a name, text cost it's an extra £2.00 on top of normal stirrer prices. The text colour is terracotta and can not be changed as this is the only colour I can do the personalised text on as the special pigment I use is black but it burns onto a terracotta colour after been fired.

The card size is 10.5 x 15cm approx and the ornaments are approximately 3.5/4 cms on the square. The ribbon and wooden bead tone might change slightly due to availability but they will always be very close to the pictures.

The card is blank inside and comes complete with an envelope, they are sent well cushioned and in a card box (as my glass ornaments are sent) to protect during travelling and I also include a card piece to protect if you want to post, If sending the card onto someone please make sure it is well packaged. We can also send the card directly to the recipient and write your desired message inside if you'd prefer this option.

Due to the nature of the raw material and because this items are handmade slight colour variations from the pictures may be apparent, adding to the bespoke uniqueness of your piece. As glass behaves differently when exposed to high temperatures small variation on the length might happen but they will always be very close to the measure given!
